Is200 Key Fob Battery

Recommended Posts

HI ALL, IM NEW TO LEXUS OWNERS CLUB, AND LIKE TO SAY BIG UP TO ALL LEXUS DRIVERS.

I HAVE A FEW PROBLEMS THAT I NEED HELP WITH, SO ALL HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

FIRSTLY

I HAVE A LEXUS IS200 AUTO, AND WANT TO CHANGE THE Battery ON MY 3 BUTTON KEY FOB. THE PROBLEM IS, IF I DO CHANGE THE Battery, WILL I NEED TO PROGRAMM THE KEY, OR WILL THE KEY WORK STRAIGHT AFTER CHANGING THE Battery. I HAVE ONLY THE ONE KEY, SO I WILL CHANGE THE Battery INSIDE THE CAR, IF I CANT OPEN THE CAR AGAIN LATER AFTER CHANGING THE Battery.

SECONDLY

MY KEY WONT WORK MANUALLY VIA THE DRIVERS DOOR, IT WONT LOCK OR UNLOCK. IT OPENS THE BOOT NO PROBLEMS THERE, AND THIS IS THE REASON IM SCARED IN CHANGING THE Battery AS I CAN ONLY USE THE REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING.

PLEASE ANY HINTS OR ADVICE IN WHAT I SHOULD DO WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

THANKS

hi,you shouldn't have a problem,as I changed the Battery on my 3 button key fob and it worked straight away - so I would say it shoulsd be okay.As for your 2nd question not sure what the problem is,I have sets of 2keys and they both open and lock the car manually too.

shouldnt be a problem in changing the Battery

sounds like the lock may be damaged, if it fits the boot it should fit the door

sounds like you could have a blown central locking fuse maybe ?
