Hello , is there any benefit to change standard filter to a k n n filter . The ones on eBay i mean , and if so will anything need to be done to run efficiently on car

personally, i wouldnt bother on a std car, the standard induction layout on the is200 has been shown to be very efficient, a new OEM filter will give the same results

Yep... 1) You almost never if ever have to change it out, so reduced service costs. 2) You get more air flow through the K&N filter which gives a cleaner fuel burn and can add a wee bit to fuel efficiency and smooth running.

it has to be removed for cleaning and re-oiling,

your other points are pretty subjective, without proof, the oem filters are very good, being of Exactly the same construction as the TRD air filter, .....but not red

You'll save money in the long run with a K&N. They also flow better longer than an OE unit. They might be very similar when new but after 15K the K&N wont be as restrictive thus improving your mpg. If you can get one cheap enough then go for it I say.
