Oil Light

Hi new to this site. I just purchased a 200 sport on a x plate and it has a problem already! When driving it the oil light flashes on and off every now and then? I've had a oil and filter change done today and the oil light still flashes??? Help would be much appreciated thanks

top left is oil level light. mine flashed once going up hill and I had about 1/3 of level on dip stick. added half litre and its ok.

Hi have checked oil level and it's spot on yet the light still comes on? I read somwhere it may be the sensor? Has anyone else had this trouble?I'm using Castrol magnetec 5/30

I assume it could be the sensor - normally, the light would only come on, if the level is low while driving. If the dipstick shows that there is enough oil, you should be fine. If the oil pump would be on its way out, you would probably get the red oil lamp instead, meaning low oil pressure - definitely a more serious problem :) Anyway, take that only as IMHO.

Thanks m8 gonna book it in at the stealers at the weekend. It's in the body shop at the mo getting stone chips and swirls taken out of paintwork :)
