Just a random thought but does anybody know if its possible to replace the electric window switches for auto ones like the drivers window has? Is it just a matter of taking the switch out and replacing it with auto ones?

Ok so for those who dont understand, a normal electric window switch you have to hold till the window gets to the top/bottom, an auto switch is where you just press the button once and the window will goto the top/bottom on its own without holding the switch all the time. The big giveaway is the word AUTO on the drivers window switch, that should point you in the right direction (pardon the pun). On the drivers door there are 4 switches, one for drivers window, one for front passenger window and one for each rear door window but only the drivers switch is auto or "one touch". I wanted to know if you could replace all the other window switches to auto switches too.....

i think it will be more complex then just the switch tbh fipsy as there must be a control unit on the drivers window as well as a pressure sensor if for example the window shuts on a hand etc to avoid accidents - pure guesswork tho

Hi, I know one guy who has built a total closure system (shuts all the windows etc when he locks the car) and as a part of this mod he also built in one-touch (what you're calling auto) for all the windows, not just the drivers one.

I can ask him for more details if you're interested but it does require some electronic knowledge and messing with wiring...

PM me if you want some more information on the process, I'll ask him...
