Checked into upgrading my gps software at a Lexus dealership in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was told it was going to cost over $350 for the upgrade (which is three-year-old software!).

1. Is there an updated version of the GPS software that will run on my system?

2. Can I do that kind of upgrade myself if I could get my hands on the software?
