Inflating Tyre Not Possible!

When I fit the foot pump to the tyre valve and push the locking lever down air rapidly comes out. I've tried another foot pump too - same thing happens. If I fit the the adapter partially to the valve--not all the way down and pump... the tyre doesn't increase in pressure!

Help!

seems to me that maybe what you think is locking the pump onto the valve is actually the opposite

so try attaching the pump to the valve with the locking lever already pushed down, and move the lever the other way once its on the valve

Tried it on the other tyres and footpump is fine. Appears to be a leaking valve instead???

the inner part of the valves only screw in anyway, check it doesn't spin within the valve, either way probably less hassle just to get a new valve fitted from a tyre place, shouldn't cost you more than a couple of quid

went to the local garage, the guy there was able to pump up my tyres easily, said it could be a faulty/broken hose connector on my foot pump?

Makes sense???
