Front Head Restraints

Recommended Posts

Anyone one else found the same problem with the restraints as I find in the fact that there is no front to back adjustment provided. I know they are not meant to be head rests but I find them set to far back and feel it would be nice just to be able to rest my head on them occasionally. The only way to bring them forward a little as far as I can see is to bend the chrome posts a little unless someone has other ideas.

I know exactly what you mean. Most newer designs rest much closer to the back of my head. Personally, I'd be reluctant to bend anything, lest it was damaged. I have seen little headrest covers, and someone good with a sewing machine could create some. Then you could tuck some slivers of foam inside, bringing the surface closer.

Might be worth looking in Yellow Pages or www.yell.com for car upholsterers, as they could doubtless pad out the existing headrest for you, which would be hard to spot.
