Is200 Satnav Installation

Hi

New to the forum have just taken the plunge and bought an 04 200. Looking to do what a number of poeple seem to have done and install a satnav unit.

Having used good old eBay to buy a housing, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the installation and also recommendations on which satnav looks best (I have the larger screen from an 05). Also the unit didnt come with the wiring harness so if anyone has one I would be very interrested.

I Think the sony satnavs are good for this install primarily because they power on and off with the ignition

Thats correct, though apparently the newer tom toms do the same.

it saves having to cut holes out for buttons etc

Thanks for the advice. I had been looking at the Sony units as they seem to be the ones that members talk about. I'll have a look at the later Tom Tom units as well.

If anyone has got a wiring diagram/instructions I would be very greatful.

stav is your best man to talk too he made mine once its in the standard housing you just need a live a ignition and an earth...

but their is no way of fitting oe sat nav in unless you change the whole car loom which is very very expensive...

all you need to do is find the oe screen housing a sony sat nav(think stav is selling the one you need)if you buy stavs and find a housing and post it too him im sure he'll make you one for a fee?
