Power Steering Fluid

Getting a groaning noise when I turn the steering will and a slight whirring noise when driving - had a similar sound in a Nissan I had a while back. I assume its the Power Steering Fluid level, but there is no indication of the current level or the correct amount to top up. the small dip stick has a 1 mark for cold and 1 for hot... anyone know what the correct level is or if actually this is likely to be the problem.

Thanks

Well, if u can't see the current level in the reservoir then it will be EMPTY !

Suggest you just top it up until you reach the COLD level and see how it goes over the next few days.

Hi. It does sound like low PAS. Those marks on the dipstick are correct - just top up to the appropriate mark. If its very low, the reservoir will have bubbles in it immediately after turning the wheels a couple of turns.

Is there any evidence of fluid leaking?
