Is 250 Winter Wheels/tyre

Hi There

I own a IS 250 F-Sport. I need to find a set of wheels and winter tyres as I am moving to Germany in December. Does anyone know where to get a good deal on 17" wheels and tyres? Only putting 17"s on due to only needing them on till about March then put its own wheels and tyres back on.

Any info would be great

I would do a search on the forums since this topic seems to be recurring and often discussed.

By the way after I chatted with my local supplier/fitter stocks are down (Europe get the most stock) and the longer you leave it the prices will be going up.

Also, I called my insurance company and they said it was nothing to worry about having winter tyres fitted and no price increase.

There have been recent articles on-line in Autocar and Whatcar too. Google is your friend.

I bought my 17s after watching eBay for about 4 weeks

I paid about £300 for new 'standard' alloys that had been garaged for a few years. The owner immediately went to 18s when the car was new

I was tempted to buy cheap non lexus alloys from wolfrace for about the same money

Didn't the base model come with narrower 16" wheels? Surely these would be the best.

Perhaps he had an SE-L

I wouldnt go to 16 because of brake calipers etc

16s would be probably OK on my ISC but more of an issue for an F

Surely all but the IS-F have the same calipers.
