Aftermarket Stereo

Hi,

I am changing my stock stereo for an aftermarket item. I was just wondering if this could be connected to the factory amp? If so what level are the inputs on the factory amp are they a high level or low level.

Hi Pete,

If your changing the head unit you may as well bypass the amp coz it's only 17.5 watts per channel anyway, and your new head unit should be alot more than that.

(Presuming you haven't got factory sat nav)

Are you changing speakers aswell?

I am Keeping the standard speakers for now as this new stereo has cost me enough. I was just wondering Because the amp has a 4 chanel input and a 6 channel output.

When you changed out your factory radio to an after market radio did you have any problems with the security sytem and the car not wanting to start? I am in the middle of doing this and noticed the car wouldn't start?! Any suggestions? Thanks! :D
