Mark Levison Sound System

Hi all I have a IS220D Sport that I have owned for the past 6 months I noticed sometimes when I switched the engine on the stereo had no sound. I went into the touch screen audio settings and the fader was locked in the bottom right hand corner and none of the fader systems would operate. But then after driving for a while switching the ignition off then back on the system reset and everything was fine. This has continued since this date sometimes I have sound sometimes I don't, until now where the system seems to have completely tripped out. I have taken it to a local audio speacialist who says that with these systems the only option is to sen the head unit to America to be repaired as no one here has the capabilities to carryout the repair or buy a new head unit quoted £3k.

Has or does anyone else have this problem >>? and does anyone know an alternative solution ?

Any help would be appreciated guys.

The audio speacialist guy I went to see through a friend today used to work for the audio dealers who handle all Lexus and Toyota audio repairs and this came direct from him, he gave me an e-mail address in America to mail for information.

My next port of call tomorrow is the local Lexus dealer so I will let you know but all is looking grim at the moment :-(

I hate to report that I had similar problems recently and both Mark Lev head and sat-nav were replaced under warantee. The cost of the parts alone were 7k !!! I hope there is an easy fix.
