Previous Owner Has Glued On Pollen Filter House

Recommended Posts

While my IS220D was having its engine rebuilt I requested the pollen filter to be changed as it's at least two years old.

I had a call from our dealer who stated that the filter housing has been super glued.

Any suggestions about how I may solve this issue, the dealer would want to remove the heater unit to replace the whole heater and this could prove costly.

If you need any additional info let me know. I haven't examined the housing yet as it's dark.

regards

LQA

You can buy superglue debonder but I'm not sure if a) you could get in in the joint and B) if it would sort the problem as if the casing is broken you would probably have to reglue it anyway.

Changing the filter is not an urgent issue so I would leave as is for now.
