Exhaust Y Section

Dear all,

My beloved LS400 MK4 (1998) has just failed it's MOT. The Y exhaust section behind the cat's are blowing on both sides. As they join into the single pipe. I have asked the nearest exhaust centre for a new Y scetion and they have quoted £429 (ouch). Does anyone have any ideas where I can buy a second hand one or thoughts generally

This is the only weak spot on the LS400 system and there are no aftermarket suppliers unfortunately, one day I will get to the Scorpian factory near me and see if they will make some.

You could try member ACLex on the forum to see if he can supply any cheaper..

Have you also considered a new replacement custom made stainless cat back system?

I have seen them on that auction site for around £400.00 made to your own specifications while you wait.

The whole system is cheaper than just the Y piece.

HI Mike Just ordered one fron Lexus Southend plus gaskets and clamp gave them the name of the garage doing the work so they gave me some trade price all in with the jin and tonic £326.78
