Ls400 V Sts

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of a Cadillac Seville STS at all as a workmate bought one in to work today that he is trying to sell for a friend of his. I must admit it reminded me quite a bit of my dear departed LS,similar shape,similar dials,similar seats etc. This had the 4.6 Northstar V8 32v lump in it and did sound quiet, but when I looked at the dash it was showing average mpg of 13.9!!. His mate is looking for around £1900 (on an S reg) short MOT and no tax,which seemed a bit pricey to me as there are a few on eBay a lot cheaper than that. No doubt it's a nice motor to drive but it just inspired me to bend over backwards to get back in the Lexus saddle again. If those Euromillions numbers come up tonight........

I think the 13.9 mpg is taken from the US gallon, rather then the UK one.

They are slightly more powerful then the MKIV LS400 and the Northstar is a pretty reliable engine as well. For me, having experienced the overall drive of the STS, I'd go for a Lexus.

Also parts wise a Lexus is cheaper. If you stay away from the dealer that is :)
