Engine Management And Traction Control Light Flashing.

Hello there I've just recently purchased a is200.

Whilst driving the car back from Leicester the temperature gauge went on the red quickly pulled over on hard shoulder allowed to cool down then topped up with water this happened 4 times. When eventually I got car home I took it to a mechanic who diagnosed the head gasket had gone. Gutted. Also I noticed the engine management light had come on with the traction control light flashing . Would this have anything to do with the overheating? I've now pit car in the garage to have the head gasket sorted. Hopefully all will be well now. Just wondered if any body else has had similar issues with there's?

I had these lights flashing, one mechanic told me head had gone, second ran simple test and found head was fine(saved me a pretty penny) narrowed fault to water pump and also coil packs! Hope this helps
