Evening guys

Had my car up on my mates ramps today to have a look under car to make sure everything is as it should be.

Found coolant residue on parts as pictured below. Is the water pump failing? and what is the pipe it's coming out off?

I don't lose coolant, or have the need to top up, well not often.

Hard to get a full grasp of position, but looks like the expansion tank over flow pipe. If it is topped up too far, it will vent off through that pipe as the coolant heats up and expands.

Hi Rick, thanks for the reply.

It is a pipe closer to the alternator. This image is looking up from the bottom. It's not the expansion tank over flow pipe as you've mentioned. This one is connected to/off/from the water pump itself
