Tip For New Owners

Hi

Just a little tip to all new owners, call your local dealer and ask for a free health check, I did this with my 2008 is220 d. Found out I had an engine issue and also oil pump pressure problems.

Now I will praise Nottingham Lexus for finding this problem and replacing my engine (free) as it was covered by Lexus UK warranty.

The staff have been amazing!

I'm looking into geting the car soon but reading all the problems all or most owners seem to have I'm little putt off. Although do realy like spec and look. How long is the warranty on these and isit applicable to all owners. Buy from used with say under 50k on 07 plate. Sorry if basics ime not sure how these things works. Thanks

I own a 07 220D, unfortunately I experience the engine problem about a year back the car had 24k on the clock. It was recovered to Lexus Sheffield they did a fantastic job re-built the engine fit new pistons, EGR value, cat and engine management control unit. This was done free of charge even though the car was out of warranty, do not forget this problem is a known problem to Lexus therefore the engine is guaranteed to 100k.

As far as MPG goes I get around 42 travelling to work which is mainly urban roads this drops to 38 in the winter, which I am quite happy with. Love the car first car I have kept for more than three years.
