Rattle From Engine Area

i have found a rattle from the top to middle engine area on the off side i only hear it once i rev it lightly from tick over

any ideas guys before i start taking things apart

Exhaust/manifold heat shields?

maybe it sounds a little deeper and i could not get them to make any sound if i tapped them

What's the service history/oil changes been like? Might indicate a noisy hyraulic lifter, which don't appreciate long oil changes. Maybe try a bottle of wynns lifter treatment with an oil change.

Difficult to diagnose noises from the wrong end of key board though. :(
