Screen Protector For Sat Nav Screen

Recommended Posts

The sat nav screen on our 2011 IS250 has developed a shiny patch around the centre of the screen. It can only been seen from an angle when the screen is off and the sun is on it but its still a bit annoying. Lexus Bristol were not interested in this and wrote it off as wear and tear :megaangry: So I am looking to place a screen protector on to it to a) prevent it from getting worse and B) hide the shiny patch.

Does anyone have any recent experience which any screen protector? The choice of tailor made ones a limited and this looks like the best one I can find

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lexerd-TrueVue-Anti-glare-Navigation-Protector/dp/B0075VN8CE/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339520971&sr=1-8

Can anyone foresee any problems with using something like this? My worry is that it could damage the screen on removal??

Did you proceed with this purchase? Find it of use?

I'm guessing it would be a suction fit much like an Iphone screen cover. So it won't damage anything. seems a bit pricey, or were there several in the pack?

Have not got this issue yet, but you never know what may occur in the future. Always good to be prepared, so I'll keep a note of your link. Cheers.

Yes I purchased this and the fit and appearance is really good. As you expected, it is a suction fit, but the material is not a thick as the usual Iphone protector. You only get one in the packet, and I went through 3 to get it perfect without any dust and marks, which is very difficult in car.
