Brake Caliper Slide Pin Bolt Size.

Hey guys. I was just wondering what the size of the slide pin bolt is for an is200 i know it has a 14mm head. And im geussimg its m8x1.25 or is it m8x1.5. Any help as its urgent and i need my car back on the road.

What's happened to your old ones?

Yes they are 14mm heads but not sure on the thread size, I would think they are also high tensile.

A local engineering shop should be able to find something suitable, just take one of the caliper pins with you to match the bolts.

I have lost them When i moved. So i have nothing to match them up to. Thanks for the welcome. Need to move the car tomoro and thats whas holding me back the car is not near me at the moment. So i need to no specific sizes and also length.

M8 x 2.5

Remember that they are a Fine Thread. Your best bet is to get them from the Toyota dealer, they are a standard part used all over the car so they would most likely keep a stock of them.

...Or do what I did to get me out of a hole on a Saturday afternoon, buy a standard thread bolt and a tap and re-tap the hole for a standard metric bolt.

Im it definately wont be m8x2.5 that thread pitch is huge. A finer thread is a lower number. Im almost willing to put money on its a m8x1.25 or m8x1.5 20mm long with a 14 mm head.
