Rear Crossmember Rust - Treatment Options?

Sorry it's not the crossmember it's the rear subframe

Can anyone recommend treatment options for a rusty rear subframe?, details of what to treat it with to stop it getting worse?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi, Tazio

I did mine with this stuff last year , Vactan rust converter and primer .

Then used black waxoil underbody protector sealer, some areas are hard to reach with the spray ,I used a small brush to reach these . No sign of any rust returning so far.

The vactan is available from eBay for about £8.00 for a 500ml bottle ,enough to do most of the car I should think. Good luck with your car.
