Does This Sound Like A Good Deal?

I have an Oct 2000 Altezza, the CD player showed Err3 while I was veiwing the car before I bought it and thanks to this forum I knew what that meant before I said sold - the dealer agreed to fix or replace the stereo and today took the stereo out and replaced it with a Sony CDX-CA600 CD Radio 1 Din unit. He will be sending my original unit away to be repaired and hinted that if I wanted to keep the replacement unit instead of getting the original fixed he would get a 1 Din face plate fitted to cover the hole left by the smaller Sony unit and throw in a new rim (to replace the space saver spare) FOC.

Does this sound like a good deal? I suggested I could ask around here to see about where to source the I Din panel - obviously I expect him to pay for it.

Sounds good to me..

Especially if the replacement unit he has provided is new.

As long as it doesn't leave any gaps in your facia, or look out of place then I'd say keep the new unit.

Less chance of it going wrong. :)
