Is220D Air Con Issue

hi all,

i have owned an is220d for the last couple of years. it is a 56 plate, and the air con has never been serviced to my knowledge. so last week, it was due an MOT, took it to a local garage and asked them to service the car, do the MOT and service the air con.

the reason i wanted it servicing wasnt just because it had been a couple of years, but when it was on, it was cold. but not so cold that you had to move your hands away from the vents... plus when you switched off the air con, it would often leave an odd smell lingering in the cabin.

got my car back on friday afternoon. first thing i did was switch on the air con to see if i could tell the difference.... and nothing. air coming out was hot to begin with, then it cooled but didnt feel like air con air at all.

took it back to the garage yesterday, they have refilled the gas, emptied tried differing levels of gas and still nothing. all i know is, the day previous, the air con button made the air very cold, now it doesnt appear to do anything.

any ideas?

Currently some Lexus dealers are doing a deal on Air Con servicing.
