How To Eject Sat Nat Dvd On Is 250 With Mm System

Recommended Posts

I would appreciate if anyone can tell me if there is an easy way to remove the DVD disc for sat nav, so I can check the serial no. with a view to updating it? I have seen posts where members are taking the whole multimedia system including screen out for various reasons, but this is beyond my simple DIY skills, thank you in advance

The plastic housing that has the switch for the hazard lights comes out. There are two small holes (one at each side) - use the two metal tools that are in the toolkit (by the spare wheel) - insert one in each hole. This will release the part, although you will need to use a bit of force with a blunt object under the middle to pull it out. You can then eject the disc using the option on the 'Info' screen (I think).

Be careful - it is quite easy to scratch the surrounding material when removing the plastic housing.
