Headlight Out

Recommended Posts

I bought an IS200 auto only a couple.of days ago, when I got it the person mentioned the left headlight had gone out the night before.

It has been working for 2 days and gone out again, could this be a loose connection or something as if it was the bulb surely it wouldn't come back on again.

Any advice for a new Lexus owner.

Tap the lens gently with the side of your fist and see if the light then comes on also waggle the connections on the rear if you can get to them, it sounds like an intermittent electrical connection.

I guess they are not HID lamps?

No I believe they are standard lamps.

The fella a got the car from said it was fine until the MOT, then the lamp went out. He said he put his hand behind the light under the bonnet and it came back on, must be a loose connect ion musnt it?
