Got in my IS to nip round to the shops. Turned it off, mirrors in lights off as normal. Come out the shop & unlocked it, noticed that the ignition barrel didn't light up, then the mirrors wouldn't open, put the key in the ignition & started it. No dash clocks, no illumination, no indicators but head lights, tail lights & brake lights all worked fine. Drove home, turned it off & locked it fine. Got a torch to go check, unlocked & barrel light came on. Put key in & turned on all ok again. What could of it been ........any ideas as I can't find a thing wrong.

Mark.

Hi guys, just a bit of an update on this has it happened again.. My auto electrician came out to it this time, he found that the 120amp ALT fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet had been arcing & melted itself. He replaced it & all is peachy again.

Thanks for your views & comments as this is what LED him to the findings.

Mark
