Audio And Sat Nav Fitting

Hello all

New on here and wanted to ask about 2 things

I have a 1999 is200

Q1 Cd player in op error 3 and 4 shows and inop radio and tape ok ( no suprise i know but)

Whats the best option for this repai a used unit swap and use or another solution??

Q2 this is200 1999 year has no sat nav fitted to it can it be fitted with a sat nav from a newer model will it be plug and play if so?

Hi with regards to question 2 (although it is possible but will involve a lot of time,effort and money) the answer is generally no as its not plug and play.The best alternative is to buy a OEM housing and screen and have a sony sat nav fitted into it,someone had 1 for sale on here a while back,hope this helps.

any ideas on error 3 and 4 mean?

also can i use then a multi player cd unit in boot for example and just plug this into my head unit instead of using the inop cd within the player head?

or what is the best solution for getting cd operational again?
