My Rad Fan Kicks In Frequently

Hi,

It's 10deg C this evening, slightly mild but not exactly a summers evening.

Was in a slow moving jam, only had the car for 2 weeks but driven 5 miles, but noticed the rad fan kicked in at least 4 times but temp gauge was 1 point below half way mark so engine wasn't overheating.

Is this normal?

BTW I have an IS300 2002 done 42k miles.

I think it normal , I got that too when my car not moving and the engine still on. I would say stopping worrying too much u spend so much money on the car already :D , just enjoy it :)

The Fan starts because you have the A/C on :) So the fan pulls air through the A/C Condensor. If you turn off your A/C the fan will not turn on :)

A/C was not on Patrick.

A simple check of your coolant level will give you the piece of mind your after!

As above sounds fine,enjoy driving it worry if the fan doesnt switch on.
