I found this very useful link - put in your model and mileage and it tells
you what needs to be done at service time - there is also a full grid of jobs
vs mileage. It only goes up to 150K but
we should all be able to extrapolate.

Ha you blokes who drive those old clunkers have a good reason to upgrade now :innocent:

I have a sneaky feeling that the same schedule as the 430 will work. It is a

bit of a surprise they dropped the 400 off already.

I only looked for it because Martin asked about the brake fluid change schedule and it reminded

me that mine may be due for change - however I changed all 4 callipers at

Christmas which is why the brake fluid looks new. Is there a village out there building a new

idiot? If so I have a brain they may be interested in :flowers:

"Old Clunkers" How very dare you. Wash your mouth out young lady. Had it not have been for the MK1,2,3 & 4 LS400 there would never have been any LS430 etc. Mike

Ha ha ha - you are easy Mike - I had 3 of those "old clunkers". I used to buy them new every two years (the best car you have ever seen or heard about) which is why I now have a 430 (which is a re-skinned 400).

I'll need a gallon of fairy liquid for my massive mouth :nuke:

This is most interesting, Bren. What caught my eye is that not once do the schedules mention REPLACING the transmission fluid. The word they use is INSPECT. I immediately rang my independent mechanic and he confirmed that as long as the fluid is clean the right decision is to leave well alone. All this reassures me as my beautiful LS 400 has done 227,000 miles.
