Ordering Parts From The Us

Hi to all,

I need to get a full set of center caps for the 11 spoke wheels I have recently acquired and refurbished..

This is the Lexus Part# 42603-53090 which I found after searching on this forum. The threads on the forum suggested a price of approx £16 per cap which isnt cheap but still fair. I called Lexus today and they said that part number is showing £23.58inc VAT which is daylight robbery considering I only paid £100 + £155 refurbishment on the wheels themselves!!

So, I went on the hunt in the US and a couple of suppliers have come up approx $21 each. Cheaper but still not very cheap after shipping.

Does anyone have experience ordering from the US? Can you suggest a supplier? Is it worth me making the small saving or shall I just swallow the price and get them in the UK making sure what I get is correct etc etc?

Hello,have you tried any other lexus dealers in the UK (ACLex Lexus Poole)I bought four a few years back and the were under £15 each from Lexus MK. You might also have to pay custom duty as I did on my bonnet struts.

Well first of all I went to Lexus Parts Direct who quoted me as above £23.58. I even challenged them as I knew members on here had paid around the £16 mark. His answer to that was that the catalog prices have increased. A 44% price increase is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me.

So I then went to AClex as you mentioned and he confirmed £23.58 is correct.

I really don't know what else to do apart from pay the money.

How many years is a few years when you went to Lexus MK? I may try and call a few dealers just incase.

Hello about three to four years ago,you could also try a site called cheaptoyotaparts I have used them in the past.
