Hid Install On A Is250

Hello all,

My 2006 IS250 annoyingly doesn't come with HIDs!

But...I really want them :) I want the 4300k OEM look, am I OK to just purchase a kit off e-Bay and do a DIY install? Am I correct in saying I need H11 bulbs for the main beam? Any good install guides out there? I saw somewhere you have to drill a hole through the bulb plastic cover to run the ballast wires, I'm a bit skeptical about these things as if not done right they can cause moisture in the headlight.

Also, regarding MOT - I heard you need projectors, head lamp levelling and headlight washers for a car to pass MOT with xenons, I have all of those except the washers...is that a problem?

I bought my HID kit from eBay just over 2 years ago you do have to drill the access caps on rear of headlight but there was with mine a rubber like bung on the cables to fit in hole.so far no moisture has got In and they look amazing.as far as the mot this year I took them out as if yours are just standard headlights and not fitted with oem xenons they will fail the MOT as we'll
