Bottom Pulley Off More Help Please :/

Well am in the middle of doing my friends snapped cam belt told him to put twin turbo engine in but not having any of it.

Any way no damage to the valves what so ever hes been told its a non interference engine.

Any way are we right in thinking as in the pictures these are the marks you time engine up with?

hi sorry to tell you this but I think the is 200 engine is a interference engine so you well could have valve damage best thing to do is put a belt on it and see if its ok good luck

IS200 is not a non interference engine.

Your timing marks are spot on.

Thanks people for coming back to me :) will be fitting belt weekend and we will have to see :/

I have read up on so many different things people saying yea there non interference so just thought f**k it ill try it,

We have had the manifold off and all the inlet and had a light in there and from what we can see all good dont look bent or would they not look bent?

Plus been told because the engine turns over on the key with ease its not a interference engine.

Anyone else got more info please?

The Toyota Motor Corporation G-family engine is a family of straight-6 piston engines produced from 1979 to present. You don't know till you try it, there's always a chance that by some stroke of luck the cam shafts stopped just in the right place.

if someone brought the car into my garage I would put a belt on it first just in case luck is on your side it s worth a try if you need a engine try e bay
