Is300 Theft Ecu

hello, I have just removed the theft ecu from my 2002 is300 and it has burn marks on the pcb so i am looking for a replacement, lexus want £430 so am looking for a salvage part, my part no. is 89730-53070, there are none on eBay with an exact part no. match but a few with part no. 89730-53010. Does anyone know what the difference is and whether the part will fit and work? many thanks, phil

Sorry i couldn't be 100% sure but most things wiring wise change after 2000 (pin positions in the plugs), so that could be why different part number.

If you can find a unit from a 2001 onwards model you should be ok.

Thanks for the info ian, I am happy to bypass the unit as a temporary fix to make sure there are no other problems until i can find a replacement, i have asked stav to tell me how to bypass it for the time being. thanks, phil
