Servicing

My IS200 is coming up to 2 years old and 27,000 miles and I have a couple of questions about the servicing due.

1) Under the “Additional inspections” section, the manual lists the charcoal canister for every 2 years. Can anyone tell me where this is located (presumably either under the bonnet or under the rear of the car near the fuel tank) and how to inspect it (i.e. how can you tell if it needs replacing)?

2) Also in this section of the manual, it states “ATF to be inspected” at 27,000 miles. I've been told ATF stands for Automatic Transmission Fluid (which wouldn't apply to my car) but, if it does, then why is “Automatic Transmission Oil” also listed separately? Surely Automatic Transmission Fluid is the same as Automatic Transmission Oil?

One other question relating to servicing while I'm here. There is no mention of a service interval for replacing either fuel filter or the manual transmission oil (only inspecting it). Does anyone know how often they should be replaced for this car?
