Think I Bought A 96 Ls400

Hi Congratulations, you have bought the finest car in the world. I have had mine for 2 years now and have had no problems. The speedo needle does not light fully but it was like that when I bought it. No problem with mot etc. They are a bit thirsty and I soon converted mine to LPG. {Stag System, by professional autogas} It cost £1500 but is absolutly fab. The new system is more effecient than the cars own ECU and I get an easy 5 miles to the litre [@75p!!!] Wheels are not perfect but could cost £400 to refurb I don't think is worth it on an old car, but the rest is absolutely mint. One problem you should quickly seek out. The underside of the rear mud flap has a nasty 'trough' where mud collects and mine did rust through a little bit. I have solved this with instant gutter sealing paint and then three coats of waxoil undercoat. Check the boot in this area and give the backside a good dose too. Bust of luck. E me if you like [simonsherrard400@gmail.com]

Got newer ls400 now 1998 mark4 dynamic. Passes MOT ok but I have an advisory for slight corrosion on front and rear suspension location.  [Not considered dangerous]

Any advice on how serious this can be? I can see just a few rust marks around the mounting under the bonnet but the metal is quite solid under them.
