Anyone Know How I Can Remove The Trim Over The Seatbelt?

Recommended Posts

The plastic piece with the moon shape hole that the seatbelt actually runs through, inside/behind the trim, isn't sitting right so the belt doesn't move smoothly and I need to adjust it. I've tried prising this trim off at the sides which kind of works but it seems fully wedged in at the top under the headlining and at the bottom where the column changes to black.

Is there a "correct" way to remove this? I don't want to snap any clips.

It may not be easy. I recently had part of the sunroof replaced and to do this they had to remove most of the inside of the car including air bags etc as all the pieces seem to interlock and you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. I would ask someone who does this sort of thing for advice before you do any damage. See picture below! post-45796-0-05235000-1390636105_thumb.j

Thanks - I decided to avoid the major surgery and managed to just about bend it out far enough to get the clips into place and the father-in-law noticed that the main clips on the trim had to be tucked under the rubber door seal - all working fine now :)
