Limited Mileage On Courtesy Car?

Afternoon All,

My IS250 is in for a service at Lexus Glasgow on Friday and I have been promised a IS300h courtesy car for the day. As it happens I may need to travel to Newcastle and back in the same day (approx 300miles round trip). Does anyone know if there is a mileage limit on courtesy cars or any particular rules I need to be aware off

You will sign a document when you collect the courtesy car and any such limits will be on it. Just read the document and if you find that there is a limit and you are likely to exceed it, mention it to the person you are dealing with. They wan't your business so it is unlikely they would want to disappoint you. :)

For instance I was 2-3 years under the minimum age limit they have for courtesy car drivers when I went in the first time. Needless, they gave me the car.

I think it's 100 Mile limit and a charge for every mile over but this may vary at each dealership, just make sure you check the small print.

Thanks for the replies and I think the Newcastle trip will maybe need to be delayed until Saturday. It would have been nice to run the IS300h down and back (for the fuel figures if nothing else). However at least the IS250 will have nice new oil etc if I go on Saturday.

Yes Barney i will check it when I get there but I will not make plans to travel in the meantime. This is the first dealings I have had with this garage so I am keen to build a good relationship with them, As you say it is maybe fine, and if it is I can go on Friday at very little notice
