Rx300 Mk2 Usb/sd Audio Options

I have been looking at some devices to enable USB/SD playback in my car. I've got standard radio/nav with in-built 6 CD changer, and tape player.

I've found a few units on eBay, different types, but all of them seem to be saying that they are not compatible with the units which have built-in changer...

Any recommendations?

As a side note, is it possible to replace the standard head unit with the mark levinson one and use just the speakers that are available in the car ?( I know ML has more speakers installed?)

Yup, I had the same issue.

I also wanted Bluetooth access for calls/streaming.

Two options :

1) Dension Gateway lite BT. - uses the CD controls on the dash.

2) ioPlay2 - it's like aParrot hands fee but it has a magic box that you can add USB too as well as an Iphone, plus a. Very good hands free too.

I chose option 2. £129 at Halfords, getting it fitted next week :0)

Finally managed to get my hands on Yatour device, with extra Y splitter cable I managed to install it within 10 minutes. Once I've formatted the SD card to FAT32 and put the folders in orders as specified by the manufacturer, this is working beautifully indeed!

Job is still not finished though ;) During the process of taking the radio out, I have managed to drop 2 screws into the gearbox centre column :D I can see one of the screws, so little telescopic magned should do the trick recovering it, but the other screw is nowhere to be seen. I have taken the lower panels on the very back which give some access to the centre column, but still can't find that other screw...

Does anyone know how to take out the plastic panels covering that gearbox space?
