Problems With Ios7, Spotify App And Bluetooth

Hi!

First post on here. I apologize if this topic has been discussed in previous threads.

Yesterday I picked up my new IS300h. Wonderful car. Quiet, smooth, luxurious. Love it!

But! When I play music from Spoitify (via the IOS app) over Bluetooth, no metadata (artist, title etc) is visible on the car's display. Neither can I use the car's buttons to navigate between the tracks. It works great from another app (for audio books) but not with Spotify.

Anyone else with this problem?

Rephrasing the question a bit. Can anyone confirm that it WORKS with any iOS device and Spoitify?

I don't use Spotify but it works ok with Deezer which is similar I believe. It shows the album,artist and track but not any album artwork (I'm not sure iTunes music over Bluetooth does either). I also don't recall any problem with changing tracks. Not sure if this helps or not!

Have you got the most up to date version of the software?

You need USB connection for album artwork, besides USB music sounds sooooo much better than music over BT. All my Iphone music is 256 bit and a BT connection doesn't do it justice.

That's interesting I hadn't appreciated that. One thing I've noticed over the last couple of days is I connected my Iphone to the USB port before turning the car on and a while later I received a couple of e mails onto the nav screen. I normally get texts ok but not e mails. Just wondering if there's something in the software that likes a connection in that way. Any one else have any Iphone an e mail success?

Emil,

I have spotify on my Iphone 5, I'll have a play and get back to you with regard to what it dsiplays. Generally though 3G around Lincolnshire it patchy at best especially in the area I live so dont use spotify much when out and about. Will feed back in a day or 2 when I have tried it.

After I try texting myself in the car I'll plug in via the USB and try to E mail myself as well. (Or get my wife to send me a text and an E mail) List is building of things to try now!
