Hi all

I've just noticed that the paint on my 2007 rx400h is flaking off around the rear light cluster set into the bumper. It's not where the indicators/main brake lights are, it's further down. I think the "lights" are actually reflectors, anyway has anyone else had this problem? If so was it covered by the Lexus bodywork warranty? My car has a full main dealer service history. I've only seen it today so couldn't speak to the dealer. Just wanted any info from here.

Thanks

My paintwork is sound and my vehicle is a little older than yours. Yours may've been resprayed at some point. Have a close look around for overspray, that may give a clue unless it was removed and sprayed.

Do you know if your car ever had a clearcoat applied to it to protect the paint work (3D or other)?

It could be that this is what is peeling off as opposed to the paint itself?
