Blue Tooth Phone Quality

Folks.

I am having serious quality problems with the audio quality of the in car blue tooth via my iPhone5.

It is a big issue as I spend a lot of time in the car and typically use the phone lots. Most calls are hampered by terrible audio quality to the point where they are simply unbearable.

Does anyone have any similar experience and/or suggestions?

I will be having it all looked at by Lexus in a couple of weeks for the 1st service.

I use an Iphone 5 and haven't had anyone comment about the poor audio, nobody has mentioned anything so it must be ok. It's not exactly new technology either so my best guess would be there is something wrong with your specific car, rather than the Lexus handsfree set up per se.

Is the audio quality bad at your end or the other end or both? What sort of issues are you getting?

It's reasonably clear my end and I am on Vodafone so coverage as bad as all the others.

Specifically people say the background noise and feedback with echo is so bad it's not possible to continue. I've been using car phones for years and this is the first time such continued issues are present. My Iphone in my wife's Golf or other hire cars is fine.

It may be my car specIfically and I wondered if it may be a compatibility issue between the car and phone - maybe the mute effect??

The fact mine works fine, and there are others on here with iPhone's too suggests, to me, that it's specific to your car rather than general compatibility. IMO.

to rule out the phone as the problem, can you try a different phone in the lexus and see if it is any better/worse/same?

So next week whilst I'm falling to sleep in a sales meeting my car will be looked at by our car phone people and a colleague (who's expecting his F Sport in a few weeks) will try his Iphone in my car on the move.

Will report back and at least I'll have more info' for Lexus when I get there.
