  1. I've got the ordinary stereo etc and can only manage to find the pre-selected Dab radio stations. When I've had loan 300's they've had the sat nav and I'm able to select just about any DAB station. Has anyone figured out how to tune the 'basic' DAB radio to any DAB station?? Thx.
  2. I'll let you know if I can find out the version. For sure Lexus are aware it's an issue.
  3. What engine is in the Merc'? The 2.5ltr petrol lump is the winner for Lexus..
  4. Folks If like me you have had real problems with the atrocious car phone in the IS then Lexus have informed me of a software update. The car needs yet another service and will have the new SW at the same time.
  5. So next week whilst I'm falling to sleep in a sales meeting my car will be looked at by our car phone people and a colleague (who's expecting his F Sport in a few weeks) will try his iPhone in my car on the move. Will report back and at least I'll have more info' for Lexus when I get there. Thx
  6. I completely agree with DJP and Richard 1200. I'm a company car driver and stopped my A4 Quattro order for the F Sport - apart from the boot space it was the right choice and it really is quite cool in 'milk float' mode..
  7. It's reasonably clear my end and I am on Vodafone so coverage as bad as all the others. Specifically people say the background noise and feedback with echo is so bad it's not possible to continue. I've been using car phones for years and this is the first time such continued issues are present. My iPhone in my wife's Golf or other hire cars is fine. It may be my car specIfically and I wondered if it may be a compatibility issue between the car and phone - maybe the mute effect??
  8. Folks. I am having serious quality problems with the audio quality of the in car blue tooth via my iPhone5. It is a big issue as I spend a lot of time in the car and typically use the phone lots. Most calls are hampered by terrible audio quality to the point where they are simply unbearable. Does anyone have any similar experience and/or suggestions? I will be having it all looked at by Lexus in a couple of weeks for the 1st service. Thx
  9. ....you need to see if you can borrow some imagination as there are other options to windscreen mounting and an integral sat nav. Choosing not to spend £2k doesn't mean it can't be afforded - I didn't upgrade the wheels or take leather seats - does this make me a pauper or just that I didn't spend my allowance for the sake of it? ..but wait as I did get a tow bar fitted - perhaps I'm made of money now!! Like you do correctly say - each to their own - enjoy the beeps dude.
  10. Probably best to contact one of the UK Lexus dealers from their website and simply order from them. If you have any difficulty let me know and I can get you a set and post them across (Lexus Cambridge are my local dealer and I'm in there next week to collect a boot liner or trunk liner as you may call it and can always ask then for prices etc) - the wonders of Pay Pal can sort the finances. Note that the F Sport has LED front fog lights and the others are conventional - I can send you pic's of the F Sport ones..
  11. Mine is just about silent and the way the stop/start just ticks in compared to the Audi's great big rattle and bang is a delight.. My passenger yesterday (about to order the same as me) could't detect the changeover..
  12. Good choice - I've got the same without the sparkly bits but I do like the red leather. Mid 40's mpg wise that I reckon will rise as time goes by. Great colour choice - but I am biased!
  13. The Luxury I had with 6k on the clock I could easily get >50mpg and now with a new F Sport I'm getting at best mid 40's. Probably improve as it beds in..
  14. Got the puddle lights under the wing mirrors and footwell lights - didn't know these existed.
  15. Good idea and I want to get some touch up for the wheels too - it's only a matter of time!!
  16. Oh well - that's your three at a time then so fingers crossed plain sailing now on. I guess my bonnet dent could have also been a chipped windscreen if it were 6" higher.. They don't stay new for long..
  17. One Week in, One Thousand Miles on the clock, One great big chip on the bonnet and One car that needs a wash but is going to Scotland tomorrow so won't get it.. Well I prefer this to the loan Luxury apart from the fuel consumption which I figure is down to the newness of everything and maybe the tyres - time will tell as I put 7k on a 6k car so it was well bedded in. Overall the ride is as you'd expect slightly firmer but the Luxury wasn't that far off and was certainly stiffer than my A4 Avant SE previously. The dash is for sure cool and the trim/seats are comfortable over longer drives. Whilst towing my motorbike the Lexus felt smoother with a trailer than the Audi - quite nice for me as I tow a fair bit. So far the in car electronics and screen and certainly less than the Luxury with Nav, but I'm just glad the nav's gone. The graphics and functions are much less so you can't change various settings but at least the dash looks groovy. So far the blue tooth connection seems better - fingers crossed. I'm in for around 1400 miles this week, so the newness will be a thing of the past and it wont be a new car anymore,
  18. It cannot be turned off and drove me nuts. Now I have my F Sport without nav and it's much better..
  19. Put the car in EV mode and if you over do it then it Beep Beeps at you as it drops out.
  20. As said above. 10k for private drivers and 12.5k for business. I'll be in 3 times a year so that's good from a clean car perspective..
  21. Here we are.. 16 weeks later and I'm pleased with the colour. F Sport ride is indeed firmer and the interior I much prefer - especially the dash centre bezel. Glad to not have the flaming sat nav beeping at me and the rotary controller is also much better than the mouse thingy - rather than the hump for the mouse there's a perfect space for an iPhone 5 so a double benefit. The tow bar is a really neat installation and looks very well made. The full tank of fuel on collection's a nice touch too. Glad the wait's over and it needs a clean already.. Did I mention I'm pleased with the colour...
  22. She's right there. As a company car driver I've just ordered the car and got on with it in the past, but for some reason this time I'm much more looking forward to the F Sport. The whole wait has of course been eased by having a loaner 300 since 10th Feb. Let's hope the feeling lasts as this one's on a 4 year lease.
  23. Very nice - just like my loan car and a very nice quality drive the Luxury is too. Get mine tomorrow after a 4 month wait, so as said above I'm in favour of the spontaneaity.
