Strange Noise Only When Setting Off

Hi have just bought a is200 ls auto 2004 what I'm wondering is this when I set off I get a strange noise for about 2 secs it's not a slipping belt noise more like a wearing noise I've been told it is the traction control anybody shed some light on this so I can put my mind at rest it doesn't do it at any other time pluses it's only done 38k regards robbo

With such small milage. Could your calibers be seizing? although that noise would likely not go away after 2 secs if it was calibers? does it happen when you are just creeping without applying throttle or only when you put down some power? does it do it with harsh acceleration to?

might not be engaging the gear right what ever could cause that? old or dirty oil?

Hi gear oil fine been serviced every year at lexus by previous owner it's more of a whine for about 2secs I've looked else where on the forum and found its common thing the previous owner said it was the traction control which could be right
