Fitting A Dash-Cam

Hi folks, I am thinking about fitting a Dash-Cam in my car and have just had a thought. It struck me that the interior mirror must have some sort of power going to it as the windscreen wipers automatically work when it starts to rain. Knowing very little about car electrics I was wondering if this power can be linked into to avoid feeding cables all over the place to get to the cigar lighter.

I might be way off track here but initially it did seem logical to me. Any thoughts anyone?
