Ls430 Usb Interface?

Hi all. Has anybody or know if anybody has had a usb interface fitted to there 430. Im after one so can play my music ect from my phone through my factory unit ive seen alot for sale but there saying ipod Iphone, i have samsung galaxy.any help apprecitated. Phil

Not sure which of these would work for you but have a look - some of these iPod solutions come with a USB source for other audio devices

Just been on to somebody on eBay they sell the xlink and say theres nothing compatible for our car i think there talking rubbish as ive seen them fitted to 430's when i looked at some when buying car last year.ill keep digging there will be someone thats had it done. In meantime im going to ring a few local car audio companies see if they have any idea. Cheers phil

I'm 100% sure that there will be an audio specialist who can give you a solution.

Some of the links I've sent you provide not just iPod compatibility but also Aux sources for Audio / Visual devices such as DVD players and other MP3 sources.

Lexus do provide their own aftermarket iPod solution for the LS430 but I don't believe they provide a specific USB solution.

My ls400 came with a Parrot phone system, which also has Bluetooth music playing abilities, plus various phone connectors

PARROT MKi9200 its pretty good, I have it paired with 2 phones, it's sometimes a bit glitchy, at the moment the remote seems to have un-synced itself, but it's a good system, good handsfree kit, linked to the car speakers, mutes the radio

So you can pair your phones music ect through it? Do you still get good quality sounnd.i had a i9200 kit last year to swap for basic parrot in my van but never fitted it and sold it. Think this might be the way forward then, were have you put your screen as i find in the 430 it seems limited were to put it. Cheers phil

On my 400 I have it on top of the dash at the far right, touching the door pillar. The control box is under the drivers seat, which is where the amp. is

The remote is next to the shift lever, easy to reach

You can play music via Bluetooth, sounds fine, or you can use the 3.5 jack, or the Iphone connector (not very useful if you have an android phone)

I think I had it playing music of a USB stick too.

My car came with a PARROT MKi9100, which died, and I replaced it with the PARROT MKi9200, as its the same wiring loom apart from the bigger display, so easy upgrade

The Parrot kits are very good - I fitted a similar unit in my previous LS400 and it worked really well
