What is the text button there for.

I write all my own "backup" cdr's and give them an album and artist but it never detects it

What am i doing wrong?

or is the text there for the RDS on the radio. if it is that wont work either for me???

did not realise it cud av been a LE thing

I'm sure I've got a text button on mine and it's a 2000 model but it has had the unit swapped out as it's the newer model - have you still got the original CD player Ifraz (or did I read somewhere you just had it swapped out and were waiting for your cds back??)

I asked this exact same question Andy when I was getting mine and was gutted when I realised it didn't do CD Text- saying that though I don't need CD's anymore as I've got the iTrip & iPod now so can stick all my collection in the car :D

My head unit was replaced with another which was the same type (CD at the top). I'll check in the morning, I'm sure I don't have this text button.

i wish i neva had it, every time i look at it i wanna press it and see the CD title come up, butit never will :tsktsk:

Doh, sorry my stereo has the CD at the bottom. I have never seen this text button before. I definitely don't have it. Sounds like I don't need it either as it doesn't work :shutit:

Bloody stupid oversight on Lexus' part, CD text has been round for years and they didnt think of putting this on the IS :shutit:
