  1. ….wow ! 😃 - 8.37 this morning, I am now granted The Explorer Badge ! Lexus Owner’s Club Suit’s - thank you - another badge to be worn with pride! I remember, when I was a Cub, 12, ( junior Boy Scout’s ) I was obsessed with the range of colourful ‘achievement badges’ to be worn on one’s sleeve’s of the dark green jumper ( remember those ? ). the best badge was for First Aid, bright white cross on bright red, triangular, backckground ! when Arkela was not looking I pinched that badge, and a handful of other’s, got my mum to sew them on both sleeve’s ( 😲) - no one ever said a word, not even mum ! ironically, have just attended a 2 day First Aid ( Driver’s ) Training Day and am now a fully qualified, certificated First Aider - what goe’s around, come’s around ! ( no bl**dy badge, though, wish I’d kept the old Cub one ! ☹️ ). anthony

  2. Hi, Just wanted to share my findings: I was looking for new 12V battery for my GS450h (2008), and these will fit directly the battery tray in the trunk: Varta Blue Dynamic E23 570412063 70Ah 630A size (in mm): 261x175x220 BOSCH S4 026 70Ah 630A, size (in mm): 261x175x220 Yuasa YBX3030 12V 72Ah 630A SMF Battery, size (in mm): 260x174x225 The original battery is Lexus 28800-31281 Panasonic S65D26L 57Ah 450A, size (in mm): 260x173x202. I ended up buying the Yuasa YBX3030. Installation was really easy: the only thing you need to do is to remove the temperature sensor from OEM battery and glue/tape it on top of the new battery. Picture of the temperature sensor on OEM battery: BR.Sami

  3. In our immediate family, we collectively have 4 Honda's in our "fleet" and not one of them has ever suffered a problem. None of them have ever failed a MOT (albeit one doesn't need one) nor ever had an advisory. With the oldest now being 11 years old on 80K miles, I'd say that was impressive. I feel pretty sure all of them would easily be more than capable of 100K or far greater. You'd really struggle to beat Honda for reliability. Way back in the nineties I had a Honda powered Rover 600 and I remember passing that on at 118K miles and the lad who took it over racked it up to 187|K before it finally failed its M|OT on rust. Again, till then no problems whatsoever.

  5. Better to have driven and sweated than never to have driven at all. Or something like that.

  6. May seem like an obvious question, but is the car running at the correct factory tyre pressures? Dealership have a habit of over inflating tyres when a car is serviced, not sure why. The first thing I do after a service is to lower them to the correct pressure as it makes a huge difference.

  7. You definitely don't need to code the battery to the car. It's stop/start cars that need this doing.
