Hi Chaps, Need a little help here. Basically I got caught going through a Speed Camera at 37mph a month and half ago. I was actually doing 32mph and a knobhead in the lane next to me was touching 40mph. I have not replied to the ticket and heard nothing more from it so far (I'm praying ) Then today I've been informed by work that I was caught doing 39mph in a 30 in the Works van. I know this is more than likely correct and have asked for Photographic evidence to prove it. My fear is I already have 9 points which have been on my License for over 3 years (so one year left) if they do put 3 or 6 points on my license will i be looking at a Ban? I've looked on the net but so far its all very confusing. Let me know asap Chaps as I am touching cloth without answers :shutit: LowRed

I had the same thing twice with my IS200 found out I had jammed the Throttle Pedal down with the Mats that tend to slide down now and again. Stupid I know but check it out before you waste any money, the Mechanics could have been trying to rip you off there is nothing evident to prove the cleaning of the Throttle Body was required. Just my Thought, Good Luck on the problem if not summit that Simple :)

Just outta curiousity how wide is 255/35 18? I'm thinking wide tyres so much better on rear but when i checked in the old days the rear arches were triple skinned, how the hell would you cut em or roll them??? I asked myself this before....

Same here mate. I had a few shaky years after that. My father passed away suddenly late one Friday night. My son cut his first tooth during the day on Friday, my partner was so excited and wanted to visit him & my mum that evening. I had just worked a 12 hour shift, and didn't fancy the trip as I was very tired, plus it was 2 long bus rides each way. That is so true mate, you never know when your time is up, and the resources are there to make it happen for him as well Be gratefull for the time you have, as you will never ever get it back. Given the time again, I would definately have caught 4 buses....................... It really looks like you will get well over £300,000 worth of assets mate. Taxes have to be paid like it or not.....:tsktsk: The only way I can see you paying less is if he sells the house to you for a less than market value price, & has some form of legal contract regarding his low rent (covering your mortgage payment) or no rent tenancy until time comes for him to say goodbye. The £50,000 savings will cover the £36,000 tax bill if you had to pay it straight up. I feel for ya buddy, must be really :tsktsk: to get £364,000 for nowt. I believe its 40% of anything over the £312,000 bearing in mind the house could exceed that on its own. My fear is do they tax me on the house when I recieve it in my name. Am I affected when I plan to sell the house. Potentially if the house is £350,000 and savings left are £50,000 I could be taxed 40% of 90 Grand!!!! There must be a loophole to stop such a big tax :shutit:

well thats what i read, but number 1 chances are the estate will be well over the £312,000 and 2 me and the lady are not married yet, the estate is left to just me Poop Street and no Paddle spring to mind

i think you have to do it about 5 years before they die ! yeah i did read 7 myself, i don't intend to come across as a moneygrabber but there must be a way to secure the estate without such a big cut for the tax man :shutit: its shocking!!!

Need a Little Legal advice if there are any Lawyers or people in the know... I live with my Great Uncle in our house, which he legally owns. Mortgage fully paid off. He's in his mid 80's and to put it bluntly it would seem he does not have too long in this world. The question I have for advice is - The house is left to myself. Valued roughly at £350,000. His savings could be upto £50,000 When the time comes I would like to sell up, and move house to another area close to us for about £180,000, and put the rest in a fixed ISA Account to secure me and the wife to be financially. I have read about Inheritance Tax taking 40% off any Estate left to me. Not to sound callous but how can I do what I plan to do without the Evil Tax Man robbing me blind???? Just a Little Bump on this Thread after a a gap. Finances still not upto scratch but now the wheels are starting to Corrode so found a wheel specialist local to me will refurb the rims any colour mega cheap :winky: So now my dilemma is i can pick any colour on the car and the Chrome Lip on the Rims can match ( plus i have 2 tone options for the wheels and car ) The Mind boggles LOL so much choice. I have thought Red lip on black rim and red and black car Thoughts and Suggestions are greatly welcomed B)
