Tell her you have bought her something truly special from a Luxury Catalogue but it has not shown up. Much to your annoyance. I have done the same thing to my Missus for Christmas, it was her main expensive present naturally. We are still waiting for the gift and I do browse on Ebay occasionally :P

Thanks for the speedy Reply The reason I made the Exhaust Upgrade was that the original Cats gave up on the car and broke down internally. I had a fair bit of corrosion through the Exhaust due to being originally from a coastal area. Plus from Lexus the Cats are a rediculous £400 each, so for 2 sport Cats and a Stainless System, I paid £900 for the lot. Hence being cost effective. The Note is rather sweet and sounds like a V8 should ;) But the Fuel is drinking now big time, I will have the Emissions tested and Oxy Sensors monitored to see if something is not right, I may need to tweak the other OEM parts to get it running better. The Car seems to be running a little too rich for my liking, but onwards and upwards :)

First of all Merry Christmas to one and all :D I think this year i may get a card from the Petrol Suppliers that keep my Monster running. I have had 2 Sport Cats fitted to my LS400, with a complete system Stainless Steel. The Fuel Economy was never toooo good but i expect for a old V8 it is gonna be nasty. But since the Exhaust fitment with Cats I'm doing about 215ish Miles to a £74 Full Tank. Bad I know i use to cry when i would do about 260ish before. My main driving is Local City driving, is there anything i can check or do or adjust to decrease the Fuel she drinks or have I just made a Greedy Basteward a bit Greedier???? Answers on a Postcard Please, you may make my Crimbo :D:D:D Regards LowRed

Noooooooooo!!! I don't believe it. I spoke to a guy on Ebay telling me I could buy that pump for £20 and then he mailed me saying a local man had collected it. Better luck next time :( lol I'll give you £30 ;) Nahh lol I have the same fault as you but believe the leak is from a hairline crack on the bottom of the pump off the Vacuum Valve. Good Luck anyways :)

Just a Bump on this topic. I'd like a raise or drop a few inches if that. Would I be able to get the Air Suspension from a Scrap car to fit to my standard suspension setup. and if so what would i need to get exactly for the full setup??? Thanks in Advance -
Thank you all for the feedback but I'm still in limbo on the situatation :S The Flat is signed in my mothers name and the payments are taken from my bank account as she had limited savings at the time but pays me back over the month. We were in process of getting Housing Benefits but the rental place refused direct payment to themselves, and the circumstances have since changed due to her mental illness means she can no longer live on her own. I spoke to Legal Aid today and they were not much help to be honest, Umming and Ahhing about it all. I am waiting to have contact with Social Services as they will be involved soon to sort out her current affiars etc

Hi All, I require a bit of help if there are any Legal Advisors in this Club :winky: I am currently going through a difficult time as my Mother is very unwell. To cut a long story short she has been unwell for some time and recently diagnosed with Mental Illness, resolving in her being put into a secure physiciatric ward for her care. She is on limited benefits at the moment, as her illness makes her unable to work (£47 a week) and she and myself have been paying halfs on the Flat she was living in. The rent was £370 a month, so I have informed the rental firm that her mental illness is going to make it impossible to live there and fund the flat, I myself cannot afford the cost on my own and the payments are in my name. My Mother has no savings of any kind. So on top of the problems we are all coming to terms with, the Rental Firm are demanding they will need the rent payed until they get somebody else to live there and are adamant despite the circumstances we have. Can they really expect a Mentally Ill person to pay rent for a home she does not live in or have funds to do so??? I'm in the process of trying to get out of the contract for her but would appreciate any legal advice if anybody knows of any loopholes in these conning contracts. It is a 12 month contract and my Mother has been tenant for nearly 4 months. Help Please Regards LowRed

Advice Please...

Thanks for all your input people, I have trawled Ebay USA but I have a little doubt dealing with the Yanks being sooo far away for electrical items etc... The Pump is leaking by the Vacuum Valve underneath but changed this and it appears that the pump housing is cracked on the thread :S As for the Boot Lid, I never realised the Celsior was the same with small Recess for the plates as the US :D -
I do like that Colour, I'm thinking of a Blood Red maybe really dark and "Soprano" Style :P but I don't want to have it looking like the Burgandy Red that the LS400 already does as Standard :duh: Decisions Decisions. Even Black with a Red Pearl had crossed my mind......
-
Cheers mate!! yeah i quite like red, but looking at deep blood reds rather than a normal burgundy red they already do. i also like the white but think it needs something to give it a kick but then its keeping it clean lol. Black is traditional and always goes well with everything, but i want something more....well different lol.

Hello All, Planning to do a full respray in the next few months on my LS400 and seem to be spoilt for choice. I like the idea of a VIP style theme so my final colour choices are - - Red - Black - White Would apreciate all of your thoughts and suggestions as im not really sure myself :S but want to be different :) Here is the car as it is now :) Many thanks LowRed

More problems whilst i'm posting on my LS lol Had my car checked out on the weekend as I have had a rattle at 1500 RPM from day one of owning the car. The guy I bought it from told me a heat shield was loose which was correct but on further investigation, it seems that the Cats on the Exhaust have broken down internally and spread a lovely bit of metal through the exhaust!!! Lovely, Just the excuse I needed for a Full Custom Exhaust with Sports Cats. Unfortunately this will cost me £900 from my local specialist (on mates rates ) The Cats are £400 each from Lexus never mind the rest, so technically a bargain I don't think I have any alternatives as Aftermarket don't seem to have much about Regards LowRed

Hello All, Just a Quick one for ya all. I have had a power steering leak on my 93 Mk1 for some time now. Found it to be a Vacuum Valve under the PAS Pump, fitted a new one and taped the thread. Now the leak has come back, looks like it may be a hairline crack on the pump £500 from Lexus :shutit: £60 off Scraper on Ebay :winky: Before I go ahead for the financial easy way. What are they like to change etc. Any advice on anything? Regards LowRed

A bit of Assistance needed if anybody can Help. My Drivers Seat on my 93 LS400 has gone wrong internally!!! When I move the back of the seat Forward or Back, the Offside of the Seat moves back and for, but the Nearside of the Seat will not budge and the seat actually twists on movement. Any Ideas??? I removed the back panel and the Rod that goes across the back appears to move but not the metal cog that it seems to be connected to I ain't got a clue, asked Lexus which only said they could send me a Diagram as it looks like the Starship Enterprise in there HAHA Any Help would be appreciated, and the expense too of course Regards LowRed

I had the same problem on the same day I purchased the car. Drove all of 300 odd miles home then back in my home town, the brake line split. Got it taken to my Cousins Garage and sorted for a tenner. Universal brake line cut and bend it yourself :D Lexus are terrible for prices on some of there stuff :(
